ABOUT DAN WOOD

Dan has been our PGA Professional at Portmore Golf Park for the last three years.

Dan has been a Professional Golfer for almost two decades. He began his career as a teaching professional at Royal North Devon Golf Club. He then worked as the Head Professional at Holsworthy Golf Club for four years and went on to set up his own Golf Academy at Ivyleaf Golf Course and Driving Range, which he ran for five years.

Dan has experienced success playing in PGA Tournaments over his career, having won County Alliances and achieving top-10 finishes in West Region Pro-Ams.

Dan focuses on new technology, using software such as Flightscope and slow-motion video analysis during his lessons.

Dan also emails lesson feedback, with videos and photos, to encourage further practice between lessons and add value to the Portmore Academy experience.
