Golf Courses
We have two courses here at Portmore - The Landkey Course and the Barum Course. Both members and visitors are welcome on both courses, during the peak season we always recommend booking tee times in advance to avoid dissappointment.
Landkey Course
THE LANDKEY COURSE IS CURRENTLY CLOSED FOR A RENOVATION PROJECT
This work will continue into Spring/Summer 2024 - reopening will be confirmed once work draws to a close. This renovation will see the resurfacing of all greens, extensive changes to green complexes and bunkering with additional changes in drainage and irrigation.
This is another a significant investment at Portmore to help achieve our goal of offering great value to our visitors and membership.

The Landkey is a challenging Parkland 9 hole par three course. With a par of 27, a great layout and stunning views of Barnstaple, the Landkey course provides a true test of skill for both beginners and more experienced golfers.
We would recommend the Landkey course to beginners or Juniors before moving onto the more challenging Barum course. The course provides a great environment to gain some golf experience.
All players must have their own bag of clubs. A full dress code is not required on this course, however, a smart causal dress code is expected.
Barum Course
The Barum Course is a 18 hole parkland course, with a par of 71 and a total 6289 yards (Blue Tees).
The course is designed for all abilities, with lots of shape and character for players to strategically plan their way around. The course also boasts superb views of Barnstaple town and the rural surroundings.
A full dress code is enforced on the Barum course and buggies are available upon booking.
